Bengaluru, July 10: Bayern Munich and German football star Mario Goetze is linked with English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, as reported by German newspaper Bild.
According to Bild's reports, the English club have already approached the player's father Jurgen Goetze during the Euro 2016 and are considering to place a bid for the star player.
Goetze had joined Bayern Munich in 2013 on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund. Since the German youngster has been an integral part of the Bayern squad,
Unfortunately, the last season has been pretty disappointing for Goetze as he failed to perform according to his class.
Joachim Loew utilised him as a striker in the first few matches but he failed to impress the manager. Thus he was replaced by Mario Gomez in no time.
Goetze's preferred position is either the attacking midfield role or right wing. Bayern Munich have Douglas Costa, Renato Sanches, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, etc, thus Goetze might consider moving out of the club soon.
Some reports suggest that Mario Goetze is waiting for some big offers from Real Madrid or FC Barcelona if that arrives he might not turn up at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham came third last time in the league below rivals Arsenal after almost being a title contender throughout the season. With all due respect to the Spurs, a move to Tottenham at the pinnacle of his career might not be wise decision.
