Transporter shot dead in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 11 (PTI) A 32-year-old transporter wasshot at in central Delhi allegedly by his business partnerafter an argument over money turned ugly, police said.



The incident took place in the office of Shiram InfoVision West Patel Nagar at around at 3 pm and the victim hasbeen identified as Uttam Singh, who suffered a bullet injuryon his right shoulder.



The company is owned by Anil Chillar. Singh providesten cabs to Chillar''s company.



According to police, Singh had gone to claim a pendingpayment from Chillar when the incident took place. "Anargument ensued and things turned ugly. Singh was shot in hisright shoulder," a senior police official said.



The victim was rushed to the Gangaram Hospital wherehe is undergoing treatment.



Police is yet to record Singh''s statement. "We willregister a case after recording Singh''s statement. We havedetained Chillar," the official said.



Singh''s brother in law is an Assistant Sub Inspectorwith Delhi Police.
