Travis Kelce Confessed It Was His Brainchild to Join Taylor Swift on Stage During ‘The Eras Tour’

If you've been anywhere near the internet lately, you've probably seen the viral sensation of Travis Kelce taking the stage with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, during "The Eras Tour" in London last June.

That moment had Swifties buzzing like bees in a bonnet, and now, the NFL tight end has spilled the beans on his podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce. Spoiler alert: it was Kelce's idea all along!

"I initially mentioned it to Tay, I was like, 'How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 album?'" Kelce recalled, chuckling as he reminisced.

Swift, evidently amused, asked, "'Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?' And I was like, 'Are you kidding? I'd love to! I've seen the show enough; might as well put me to work here.'"

While Kelce pitched the idea of crashing the 1989 segment, Swift had a "perfect" twist of her own, suggesting he join the "The Tortured Poets Department" era instead.

"[Her dancers] are trying to bring Tay back to life and get her ready to perform the rest of the show," Kelce explained, adding a touch of humor about his biggest worry: "The one thing I told myself is 'do not drop the baby'. Do not drop Taylor on your way over this couch."

Dressed to the nines in a tuxedo and top hat, Kelce didn't just blend into the background. He made his stage debut with some smooth dance moves before heroically carrying Swift-who was pretending to faint-to a couch.

After the dramatic act, Swift changed into a dazzling two-piece sequin ensemble while Kelce humorously pretended to touch up her makeup. Swift then performed "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Kelce described the whole experience as "an absolute blast" and an "honour" to share the stage with Swift. "It's such a fun, playful part of the show," he said. "I didn't disappoint Taylor, so that's all that really matters."

During the Wembley shows, Kelce also had the royal treatment, meeting Prince William and his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. He cheekily called the Prince of Wales "the coolest mother f*****" on a previous podcast episode and gushed over "adorable" Princess Charlotte.

"They were an absolute delight to me," he said, admitting he wasn't sure whether to bow, curtsy, or just shake their hands like an "American idiot."

Kelce reserved special praise for Princess Charlotte: "The highlight was Princess Charlotte. Prince George was great too, but she was so f****** adorable. I cannot express how much of a superstar she was."

So there you have it-Travis Kelce's grand stage moment with his adorable girlfriend wasn't just a spur-of-the-moment whim but a carefully crafted stunt that turned into a show-stopping spectacle!
