Patiala, Dec 17 (UNI) The Railways were skittled out for a paltry 113 in the second innings, leaving Tripura the winners by 110 runs on the last day of their encounter in the Cooch Behar Trophy (Under-19) here today at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.
Overnight 208 for 8, Tripura added just one run to their total and were all out for 209 in 81.2 overs. Rahul Sachin returned a magic bowling spell to capture 7 wickets, conceding 72 runs and brought back the Railways in a winning position. A Pandey took 2 for 54.
However, the Railways, who required 224 for victory, succumbed to Tripura's penetrative and hostile bowling attack and were all out for a meagre 113 in 35.3 overs.
Rana Datta and Swapna Das wrecked the Railways batting line-up to capture 3 wickets each, giving away 33 and 7 runs respectively.
Tripura got five points, including a bonus point, from this outright victory, while the Railways failed to earn a point.
