Rio de Janeiro, Aug 8: Indian woman gymnast Dipa Karmakar scripted history last night as she became the first woman from India to qualify for the finals at the Rio Olympics 2016.

Dipa, 22 finished 8th in the qualifying rounds to make it to the finals of the competition. A medal in the finals would be just the icing on the cake for the girl from Tripura.
