ONE Fight Night 35: ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo is following in the footsteps of twin brother, ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion Kade Ruotolo, as he begins his MMA journey in ONE Championship.

For his first assignment in the all-encompassing sport, Ruotolo will face teen prodigy Adrian Lee in a lightweight MMA clash at ONE Fight Night 35 on 6 September. The iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, will serve as the stage for this epic clash.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu superstar has been a revelation since joining the promotion. Ruotolo was thrown into the deep waters in his ONE debut in 2023 against a dangerous opponent in Garry Tonon. But he proved his worth by submitting the American ace in just 97 seconds.

Fans immediately knew that they were witnessing something special - the start of the Ruotolo era - as he went on to defeat big names like Marat Gafurov, Reinier de Ridder, Dagi Arslanaliev.

Then, in his next clash with Russia's Magomed Abdulkadirov, the 22-year-old superstar defeated him to claim the first-ever ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Title. Since his crowning, the California native has successfully defended the strap twice against Izaak Michell and arch-rival Dante Leon.

On the other hand, his twin brother Kade showcased his skills to claim three consecutive MMA victories - all via first-round submission. Now, the other half of the Ruotolo brothers looks to follow the same path and open his MMA account in style.

However, his opponent's is a future superstar in making, hailing from the most iconic and well-known Lee family. The 19-year-old is the younger sibling of reigning two-division ONE MMA World Champion Christian Lee and now-retired former long-time atomweight MMA queen Angela Lee.

Lee doesn't just come from a famed family, he's already shown that he has the skills to rule the division for years to come. The Prodigy Training Center standout has three submission wins to his name in ONE.

ONE Fight Night 35 will be headlined by a ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship bout, when Jackie Buntan goes up against the Austrian sensation Stella Hemetsberger for the vacant strap.
