He surpassed this average by the third quarter, ending with 41 points before the final period.

LeBron James contributed 31 points for the Lakers, but their four-game winning streak came to an end. Anthony Davis exited early in the game with an abdominal strain after scoring four points in ten minutes. Davis has averaged 26.3 points and 12.1 rebounds over 41 games this season. Meanwhile, Paul George missed his 15th game of the season due to a finger injury.

Maxey Leads 76ers to Victory Over Lakers

The Houston Rockets managed to fend off a late rally from the Atlanta Hawks, securing a 100-96 win. Jalen Green was instrumental, scoring 12 of his 25 points in the third quarter. Alperen Sengun added a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. The Rockets led by as much as 16 points before Atlanta closed in during the final minute.

Trae Young led Atlanta with 21 points and nine assists as they suffered their sixth consecutive loss. The Hawks narrowed the gap to two points with under a minute left but couldn't capitalize on opportunities to take the lead. DeAndre Hunter missed a crucial three-pointer with seconds remaining, allowing Houston to seal their victory.

Deni Avdija scored a season-high of 30 points as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated Damian Lillard's Milwaukee Bucks, 125-112. Anfernee Simons supported with an additional 25 points for Portland, which has now won five out of its last six games. Giannis Antetokounmpo stood out for Milwaukee with 39 points and twelve rebounds.

This matchup marked Lillard's second return to Portland since being traded to Milwaukee last season after spending eleven years with the Blazers. Lillard finished with twenty points against his former team. Despite leading by twelve at one point, Milwaukee couldn't maintain their advantage as Portland surged ahead by halftime.

The Rockets' recent success continued as they achieved their fourth consecutive win and tenth in twelve games following their triumph over Boston on Monday. Dillon Brooks and Amen Thompson each contributed eleven points for Houston's balanced effort against Atlanta.

The Sixers' victory was witnessed by several NFC champion Eagles players sitting courtside who cheered Maxey's career-best streak of eleven consecutive games scoring at least twenty-five points. Maxey made fifteen of twenty-six shots overall and hit four three-pointers during this remarkable performance.

The Bucks had been on a strong run themselves, winning nine of their last eleven games before facing Portland amidst a hectic schedule of three games in four nights. Gary Trent Jr.'s jumper initially gave Milwaukee an early lead before Portland regained control by halftime.
