Bengaluru, July 29: The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns this week with UFC 214: Cormier Vs Jones 2 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California tonight (July 29).

The event will feature three title fights in the main card, including the much awaited light heavyweight championship rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones in the main event of the night.

Jones returns after a yearlong suspension following a USADA violation that occurred days before Jones and Cormier were set to face off at UFC 200. Anderson Silva replaced Jones within 48 hours notice and faced defeat at the hands of DC.

Cormier and Jones previously fought at UFC 182, with Jones winning via unanimous decision. Injuries, suspensions and legal issues have prevented the second fight from taking place, hence the UFC failed to book a rematch between the two.

In the co-main event of the night, Tyron Woodley will defend his welterweight title against Demian Maia.

Since winning the title at UFC 201, Woodley fought Stephen Thompson to a majority draw at UFC 205, but ultimately earned a majority decision over Thompson at UFC 209. Meanwhile, Maia is on a seven-fight win streak that dates back to May of 2014.

The event will also showcase the women's featherweight division when Cris "Cyborg" Justino faces Invicta FC bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger for the vacant title.

The inaugural featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie was stripped of the title in June after refusing to defend against Cyborg. Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson was originally scheduled to face Justino, but Anderson pulled out due to personal reasons.

The main card will also feature a welterweight fight between former champion Robbie Lawler and Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone.

Additionally, light heavyweight contenders Jimi Manuwa and Volkan Oezdemir will lock horns in the main card opener.

Also on the preliminary card, Josh Burkman faces Drew Dobber to kick off the show. A battle between Ricardo Lamas and Jason Knight in a featherweight bout. The night also includes a catchweight (140 lbs) bout with Aljamain Sterling going up against Renan BarÃo.

Featherweight bouts, Brian Ortega faces Renato Moicano, while Andre Fili is up against Calvin Kattar. While Eric Shelton and Jarred Brooks battle it out in a flyweight bout.

To conclude with the under card, women's strawweights Kailin Curran and Alexandra Albu face each other.
