UFC 221: Romero vs Rockhold fight card and schedule

Bengaluru, February 9: The Ultimate Fighting Championship travel down under this weekend as Perth Arena in Perth, Australia is all set to host UFC 221: Rockhold vs. Romero on Sunday (February 11).

Luke Rockhold and Yoel Romero will battle it out for the interim middleweight title in the main event of the evening. While, New Zealander Mark Hunt is set to face Curtis Blaydes in the co-main event.

The former champion, Rockhold was originally scheduled to fight middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, but the Aussie was forced to pull out through injury, meaning former Olympic silver medallist Romero stepped in to fight for the interim title.

Also on the main card are Australian fighters Tai Tuivasa, Tyson Pedro and Jake Matthews who will be getting an awful lot of support from the home crowd.

Aussie Tuivasa takes on Cyril Asker in a heavyweight bout, while Pedro meets fellow light heavyweight Saparbek Safarov, and welterweight Matthews will fight Li jingliang to round off the main card.

On the preliminary card, lightweight bout between Australia's Damien Brown and South Korean Dong Hyun Kim will play the headliner. While Canadian featherweight Jeremy Kennedy, who is still undefeated takes on hometown's Alaxander Volkanovski, who has dropped one in twelve..

The other Australian in action on the card is Rob Wilkinson (middleweight) who fights the undefeated Israel Adesanya.
