The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Sydney for the first time since 2017 and to host their sixth event in the city in the form of UFC 293: Adesanya vs. Stickland, which is headlined by a world championship bout.

The main event of UFC 293 sees UFC middleweight champion and No. 5 pound-for-pound fighter Israel Adesanya take on incorrigible and surging No. 5 Sean Strickland, while the under card has heaps of Aussie heavy hitters, including in the co-main event.

In the co-headliner, the hometown favorite No. 6 heavyweight contender Tai Tuivasa takes on No. 8 ranked contender Alexander Volkov in a collision of colossal proportions.

Also on the main card, No. 10 ranked Manel Kape takes on rising contender Felipe Dos Santos at flyweight after heavyweight veteran Justin Tafa meets Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) alumni Austen Lane in an action-packed bout.

Light heavyweights kick off the main card as Tyson Pedro squares off with Anton Turkalj after DWCS signee Carlos Ulberg faces off against Da Woon Jung in another light heavyweight bout guaranteed to entertain and close the preliminary card.

The prelims will also see DWCS contract winner Jack Jenkins compete against Chepe Mariscal at featherweight after a couple of lightweight bouts that see Jamie Mullarkey take on John Makdessi, and Nasrat Hapqarast face Landon Quinones.

Meanwhile, the early preliminary card will see welterweights Blood Diamond and Charlie
Radtke look to make a statement after Shane Young and Gabriel Miranda clash in a featherweight bout. In the event opener, UFC newcomers clash as Kevin Jousset takes on Kiefer Crosbie in a bantamweight tilt.
