UFC Fight Night 115 results: Alexander Volkov TKOs Stefan Struve in Rotterdam

Bengaluru, September 3: The UFC were in Netherlands last night as Ahoy Rotterdam witnessed a night of knockouts in UFC Fight Night 115: Sruve Vs Volkov on Saturday (September 2).

The event was headlined by a Giants battle as hometown's Stefan Struve faced Alexandr Volkov in a heavyweight bout while the co-main event was a Women's bantamweight bout between Marion Reneau and Talita de Oliveira Bernardo.

Struve opened a huge gut under Volkov's left eye with a jumping knee, but Volkov shook it off and probably still won the round with more significant strikes and two takedowns. Struve fought back valiantly, but Volkov was too quick and accurate with his strikes and earned a knockout victory in the third round.

Reneau also with a stoppage victory on the night against Talita Bernardo in the co-main event. Reneau hit a Dantas-style backstep and looked for the RNC. Bernardo survived, so Reneau went back to pounding and battered Bernardo until she got the stoppage.

Bahadurzada with a uppercut-right hand dropped Wilkinson followed it with a left hook which floored Wilkinson, the referee stepped in and called for stoppage in a middleweight bout.

Welterweights Leon Edwards and Bryan Barberena locked horns in a close encounter where Barberana earned points and emerged the winner via unanimous decision.

Gouti with a head kick floored Holbrook and followed it with nasty uppercuts which forced the ref to step in as Holbrook went down again to kick off the prelims with TKO in a lightweight bout.

In the lightweight bout that followed, Elidov was on top the whole fight that lasted close to 8 minutes as he earned the second TKO of the night against Mihajlovic.

Magomedsharipov tied Santiago up and took him down with an arm and leg trapped. After a few more punches, he was finally able to secure a choke and won via submission (rear naked choke) in a welterweight bout.

While, in a light heavyweight bout Rakic earned points across the board to earn a victory against Barroso via unanimous decision. Next up, Khabilov also defeated Green via unanimous decision in a lightweight bout.

Prazeres earned the second submission victory of the night as he locked Burnell in a north south choke and earned the decision in 2nd minute of round 3 in the third lightweight bout of the prelims.

Lightweight athlete Silva missed a right and got knocked out with the counter right - One-punch KO as Taisumov picked up a victory within 2 minutes of the first round on his return to the octagon.

In the final fight on the preliminary card, Welterweights Till and Velickovic put on a great show as there was only going to be one winner, Till earned the points across the board to win via unanimous decision.
