UFC Fight Night 127 results: Perfect Volkov stops Werdum in London

London, March 18: Alexander Volkov stays perfect in UFC after he stopped Fabricio Werdum in the fourth round of a heavyweight main event at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday (March 17).

Volkov struggled in the ground game early in the bout, but was able to survive the fight on the mat and finish Werdum once he got on the feet at 1:38 of round four.

That victory makes Volkov a potential contender for the title. Volkov has now earned back-to-back stoppage wins, while Werdum sees a two-fight winning streak snapped.

In the co-main event, Jan Blachowicz earned a hard-fought decision win over Jimi Manuwa in a rematch from three years ago. With that result, Blachowicz avenges a 2015 loss to Manuwa, who has now dropped two consecutive contests for the first time in his career.

In the main card opener, Leon Edwards took home a last-second TKO win over a game Peter Sobotta after going back and forth in three rounds.

Next up on the main card, Tom Duquesnoy once again showed crisp striking from start to finish but slowed late against opponent Terrion Ware. Still, the early work earned the Frenchman a decision win.

Earlier on the preliminary card, we saw five of six stoppages. Charles Byrd took home a submission win against John Phillips in the headliner. While Dmitriy Sosnovskiy, Paul Craig and Danny Henry also earned submission wins on the card.

In a welterweight bout, Danny Roberts defeated Oliver Enkamp via a first-round technical knockout (TKO).
