Bengaluru, January 25: After the first pay-per-view of the year, the Ultimate Fighting Championship arrives in Charlotte this weekend as Spectrum Center in North Carolina is all set to host UFC Fight Night: Jacare vs. Brunson 2 (also known as UFC on FOX 27) on Saturday (January 27).

In the main event of UFC on FOX 27 the middleweight division's No. 3 Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza takes on No. 8 Derek Brunson in a rematch. When the pair met earlier in 2012 under the Strikeforce banner, Souza earned a 41 second knockout victory.

Souza is fresh from a loss to current middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. However, before that loss, Jacare was on a two-fight winning streak and had victories in 10 of his last 11 bouts.

While, Brunson comes into the the fight on a two-fight winning streak with his most recent win being a knockout over former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida in under three minutes.

In the co-main event, No. 11-ranked featherweight Dennis Bermudez faces Andre Fili. Bermudez is on the back of two losses, while Fili is fresh of a decision win against Artem Lobov.

Also on the main card is a lightweight bout between Jordan Rinaldi and Gregor Gillespie, along with a welterweight bout between Drew Dober and Frank Camacho.
