Bengaluru, November 23: Former UFC light heavyweight champ, Jon Jones' hearing with the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has been pushed back to February, according to reports.

As per MMA Fighting, Jones has been granted a continuance, and as a result, he's expected to have his hearing in February, instead of the initially planned date of December 12th. The exact date of the hearing is yet to be revealed.

The former champ has landed in this turmoil after he tested positive for an anabolic steroid, Turinabol, following his win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214. Due to the USADA flag, Jones' victory was overturned to a no-contest, and Cormier was reinstated as the champ.

However, Jones denied knowingly taking any type of performance enhancing drugs which was further supported by his manger Malki Kawa. Kawa also claimed his client was being set-up when the news first broke and further defended Jones.

"I'm encouraging everyone to go out there and take a look at the tests he passed and the test he failed," Kawa told MMA Fighting.

"It's a three-week window the month of the fight. Jon has passed seven unannounced tests, and the one he's going to fail is the one that's announced? It's weird to me, there's a lot of things here that don't add up, and to the UFC, it doesn't add up."

Since, this isn't the first time Jones has been suspended and it will be his second time offence he now faces a possible four-year suspension.
