UFC London 2023 Results: Aspinall revives heavyweight contender status with stellar TKO of Tybura
London, July 23: Tom Aspinall revived heavyweight contender status with first-round stoppage win over Marcin Tybura in main event of UFC London 2023: Emmett vs. Topuria at the O2 Arena in London, England on Saturday (June 22).
The London audience witnessed five of fourteen fights end in stoppages, including the headliners and three others bouts on the under card, while eight went the distance. Four fighters took home an extra USD50K as bonuses.

While the preliminary card welterweight bout between Danny Roberts and Jonny Parson was awarded the fight of night, main eventer Aspinall as well as Paul Craig were awarded performance bonuses for the respective stoppage wins on the main card.
As expected, top ten heavyweight knock out artists No. 5 contender Aspinall and No. 10 ranked Tybura came right out of their corners swinging. It was Aspinall who landed with pinpoint accuracy first, sending Tybura to the canvas with follow up punches for the first round victory.
Following the victorious comeback after a year's layoff, Aspinall said, "It's been a really tough year for me. Guys, I wasn't myself. This is a whole new me: I'm not going to say I'm back because this is a whole new version of me. I'm going all the way!
"That seemed like an easy fight, but Marcin's a really good guy, he's won seven of his last 8 in the top ten. Big respect to Marcin. I'm going to sit in the front row and see Cyril Gane vs. Sergey Spivak, I'm going to beat the winner and then I'm going to beat Jon Jones!"
The co-main between exciting women's flyweight finishers Molly McCann and Julija Stoliarenko was as swift as expected. Engagement was fast, and Stoliarenko took the advantage with a takedown where she positioned into her trademark armbar and got the tap in the first round.
After the first-round submission win, Stoliarenko said, "I expected that. I always know I can finish it. I love London, it's so close to my home (of Lithuania). My people are here.
"For the first time in my career, I'm fighting with my people on my side. I want to say thank you to Molly, she's a warrior. Stylistically, it was a difficult match for her but she took the fight."
Also on the main card, Nathaniel Wood, Fares Ziam and Lerone Murphy earned decision wins in their respective bouts against Andre Fili, Jai Herbert and Josh Culibao, while Craig stopped Andre Muniz in the second round of a middleweight bout.
In the preliminary card, Jafel Filho opened the event with a first-round submission win over Daniel Barez in a flyweight bout before the fight of the night saw Parsons stop Roberts via TKO in the second round of a welterweight bout.
The prelims also saw Bruna Brasil, Ketlen Vieira, Chris Duncan, Makhmud Muradov, Daniel Marcos and Mick Parkin earn decision wins. Here is a look at the final results of UFC London 2023 that took place at the near-sold out O2 Arena:
