The main event featured a top 10 flyweight showdown between former UFC flyweight champion and No. 2 ranked contender Moreno and former title challenger and No. 9 ranked Erceg.
Moreno registered his second straight main event victory, getting the better of things against a very game Erceg as the pair went the distance in a close, competitive and high level 5-round fight.
When the scorecards were collected and totaled, it was Moreno that came away with his first UFC win on home soil. Moreno said, "I have gone through so much to be here, so much dedication and so much effort.
"I know how hard it is for so many of you to get a ticket to be here. This is all for you! I really believe I can move the needle, let's do a pay-per-view in Guadalajara! Let's do it!"
In the co-main event, Kelvin Gastelum's come back was delayed when Joe Pyfer became suddenly ill. Manuel Torres and Drew Dober were moved into the spot, and it was a rapid fire victory for the Mexican crowd.
Torres put a hurting on the experienced Dober in the very first round, knocking him out with a laser right hand and follow-up hammerfists. Following the quick stoppage, Torres said, "I thank you so much for coming here. I do this all for you.
"I wouldn't be able to do this with this without all of you. This is for my team, all my coaches, my family. I love all of you. It's incredible. Mom, Dad, I'm the number one in the world! I'm very proud."
Also on the main card, Edgar Chairez and David Martinez claimed stoppage wins over their respective opponents, while Raul Rosas Jr. Earned the points on the judges scorecard for the decision win. Here is a look at the final results of UFC on ESPN 64:
