UFC Returns to Saudi Arabia in February For Fight Night Event With Adesanya vs Imavov in Headliner

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced the Octagon will make its return to Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a blockbuster main event between Israel Adesanya and Nassourdine Imavov.

Held in partnership with the Kingdom's General Entertainment Authority (GEA), the event will take place on Saturday, February 1 at the anb Arena in Riyadh. In the co-main event, exciting middleweight strikers face off as Shara "Bullet" Magomedov takes on Michael "Venom" Page.

UFC Riyadh 2025 Main Event - Adesanya vs Imavov

Former middleweight champion Adesanya (24-4-0, fighting out of Auckland, New Zealand, by way of Lagos, Nigeria) is one of the most decorated UFC fighters. He returns to the Octagon after a narrow loss in a title fight against Dricus Du Plessis earlier this year. The fan favourite looks to get back to his winning form as he targets a dominant defeat over Imavov.

Imavov (15-4-0, fighting out of Paris, France, by way of Dagestan) hopes to keep his momentum building following a statement win over contender Brendan Allen. A well-rounded competitor with KO power, Nassourdine now hopes to take out legend Adesanya in emphatic fashion.

UFC Riyadh 2024 Co-Main Event - Magomedov vs Page

Magomedov (15-0-0, fighting out of Moscow Russia) has wasted no time turning heads since joining UFC in 2023. He boasts wins over Armen Petrosyan and Michał Oleksiejczuk. Shara plans to climb the rankings with a dominant win over Page.

Page (22-3-0, fighting out of London, England) vows to get back to the win column as he takes on Magomedov. Page made a statement by beating Kevin Holland in his UFC debut. Known for his kickboxing, Page has his sights on putting on a powerful performance against Magomedov.

Additional bouts on the UFC Riyadh card include:

  • No. 15 ranked bantamweight contender Said Nurmagomedov (18-3-0, fighting out of Dagestan) aims to end the winning streak of Vinicius "LokDog" Oliveira (21-3-0, fighting out of Porto Alegre, Brazil) in a standout bout.

  • Bogdan Grad (1-1-0, fighting out of Weiz, Austria) aims to impress in his UFC debut against striker Lucas Alexander (8-4-0, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) in a featherweight matchup.
  • Fares Ziam (16-4-0, fighting out of Lyon, France) takes on Mike Davis (11-2-0, fighting out of Orlando, Florida) in a lightweight bout.
  • Hamdy Abdelwahab (5-0-0, fighting out of New York City, by way of Cairo, Egypt) and Jamal Pogues (11-4-0, fighting out of Victorville, California) go head-to-head in an all-action heavyweight bout.
