Las Vegas, June 18: Jared Cannonier made middleweight history with most significant strikes landed in decision win over Marvin Vettori during the main event of UFC Vegas 75: Vettori vs. Cannonier at the UFC Apex Facility in Las Vegas on Saturday (June 17).
The 12-fight card saw five fights end in stoppages, six go the distance and one end in no decision. Among the five stoppage wins, three were knockouts or technical knockouts, while two were a submission.

The main event fight between Cannonier and Vettori was awarded the fight of the night bonus, while Manuel Torres and Alessandro Costa pocketed an extra USD50K for their respective stoppage wins on the undercard.
In the main event, middleweight mayhem played out across all five rounds of the contenders matchup between No. 3 ranked Vettori and No. 4 ranked Cannonier.
After a strong start, Vettori's hands lowered and Cannonier began firing at will over the top of his guard. Cannonier racked up the record for the most significant strikes landed in the middleweight division, and it was a marvel to wonder how Vettori remained standing.
After the unanimous decision win, Cannonier said, "That was the plan: pressure. If I gave you the room, I knew you would do whatever you want. After the Adesanya fight, my goal was to increase my output - I'll take that notch in my belt and cement myself in history.
"Marvin's never been finished in the Octagon, hat's off to him. I'm happy I got to display more of my skill set in here and show the world that I'm still at the top of my game, and I'm only getting better."
In the co-main event, surging No. 8 ranked lightweight Arman Tsarukyan had Joaquim Silva turn the tables on him, and it became one of the stiffest tests of his career. Tsarukyan was almost finished in the second round, dug deep, and came out in the third with a dominating performance that earned him the TKO.
After securing the stoppage, Tsarukyan said, "I felt this was the first time to have punches that were super tough, but I didn't accept that. I was calm, and I said I was going to knock him out and I did it.
"I'm not just talking. I'm going to be number one contender. When I first fought Islam Makhachev, you gave me three weeks. If you give me eight weeks, I'm going to smash him."
Also on the main card, Armen Petrosyan outworked Christian Leroy Duncan in a clash of the red hot middleweights after former D1 wrestler Pat Sabatini forced rising star Lucas Almeida to tap in a featherweight bout.
In the main card opener, Dana White's Contender Series signee Manuel Torres claimed a first-round stoppage against heavy handed Nikolas Motta in a lightweight bout just after Nicolas Dalby dominated Muslim Salikhov for a decision win in a welterweight to close the prelims.
South Korea's "Mr Perfect" Kyung Ho Kang make a perfect return to the Octagon, marking a decade in UFC with a submission finish of Cristian Quinonez. Kang weathered a near knockdown to get one of his own and capitalized on the ground and got a rear naked choke in the first round.
After the submission win Kang said, "I took a little damage, staged focused and did my best. I would like to fight more regularly and then I will become a contender. My kid was just born, Dana, give me the money!"
Also on the preliminary card, Carlos Hernandez, Tereza Bleda and Modestas Bukauskas earned decision wins in their respective bouts, while Alessandro Costa claimed a second-round stoppage over Jimmy Flick before Dan Argueta and Ronnie Lawrence fought to a no decision.
