Las Vegas, July 21: Viran Jandiroba landed a title shot against UFC Women's Strawweight World Champion Zhang Weili after stoppage win over Amanda Lemos in the main event of UFC Vegas 94: Lemos vs. Jandiroba at the UFC Apex Facility in Las Vegas on Saturday (July 20).
The 11-fight card saw 6 fights, including the headliners, end in stoppages, while five fights went the distance. Among the 6 stoppage wins, 4 were a technical knockout (TKO), and two were submission finishes.

For South Korean fans, however, it was a bittersweet Sunday morning. JunYong Park was pulled from the co-main position because of illness. So, SeungWoo Choi stepped in and put on a banger with Steve Garcia, but Garcia won the exchanges with a first round KO.
DooHo Choi returned with an amazing performance against Bill Algeo and got a KO victory in the second round. Promoted to the main card, Philippines-born Hyder Amil was able to secure a standing TKO over JeongYeong Lee, who was tough as nails and wouldn't fall to the canvas.
Four fighters - Jandiroba, Garcia, Amil and Bruno Silva took home an extra USD50K for his submission win on the main card, while there was no fight of the night awarded. Here is the recap for the UFC on ESPN 60 event:
In the super-competitive women's strawweight division, No. 3 ranked Lemos and No. 5 ranked Jandiroba delivered a high-level match of grappling scrambles in the opening round of the main event.
In the second round, Jandiroba was able to take the back and latch on a rear naked choke. Lemos defended well, but Jandiroba transitioned to a lightning-quick armbar and got the tap, which gave her 4 submissions in a row. The victory sets up Jandiroba for a title shot with Weili.
Following the win, Jandiroba said she deserves the title shot: "Thank you so much to Amanda, we share the same roots. I've got to hand it to her, but I'm not that dumb to play hero.
"I need to get that title shot. I feel like I've prepared myself to be a champion. Dana White, I'm the next champion. I was close to fighting Weili a while ago, but destiny tossed us different paths. It's time. Weili, let's go!"
When JunYong Park was pulled from the co-main event due to illness, striker SeungWoo Choi and surging finisher Steve Garcia got promoted to the position. They engaged immediately, each landing shots that wobbled the other, and it was Garcia who got to the finishing combination first.
With a KO victory in under two minutes, Garcia earned the longest active knockout streak in UFC (4) and he said, "It was amazing! I'm blessed. We follow a game plan and it works.
"I have some of the best coaches in the world, but I talked to my dad and he said, 'Steve, just be violent'. Honestly, I'd really like that fight with Dan Ige. I think that would be an amazing fight."
"Korean Superboy" DooHo Choi finally returned to UFC to pit his striking against the grappling of Bill Algeo. Unexpectedly, Choi showed off his own ground game by jumping guard for a guillotine attempt, then landing a throw to choke attempt.
Back on his feet, Algeo put together a combination that ended in a big spinning elbow and a shoot, ending the first round on top. Choi's striking acumen flashed brilliantly in the second round, and he ended it all with a huge left hook to the eye that dropped Algeo to his knees.
Adding another amazing KO to his prolific highlight reel, Choi said, "This win was a long time coming. I'd let a lot of people down, but I kept believing in myself. I knew I could do it, and I wanted to prove that to people who still believe in me.
"I wanted to close the range, and stop him from escaping. In the first round, I missed, but in the second round, I got to him. I'm grateful for Korean Zombie. He's been my mentor for over ten years. Even though I'm not officially part of his team, he treats me like his little brother."
Opening the main card, ROAD TO UFC Season 2 featherweight winner JeongYeong Lee made his second UFC fight against undefeated Philippines-born Hyder Amil, Dana White Contender Series winner.
The two went toe-to-toe in an incredible battle, with Amil mounting a barrage of strikes, and Lee staying standing so long the referee had to jump in. Amil remained undefeated with the first round stoppage in just over 1 minute.
After the win, Amil said, "That was scrappin'! I'm a smiley guy, but when you wake me up, I'm going to bring the heat. I saw the opening when I saw he was stunned, so I capitalized on that.
"He won Road to UFC, and I'd never fought an Asian person before, so I wanted to represent. I'm from the Philippines, so it was super important that I get this win in emphatic fashion."
Also on the main card, Kurt Holobaugh earned a decision win over Kaynan Kruschewsky in a lightweight bout, while Bruno Silva finished Cody Durden in the second round of a flyweight bout.
Earlier in the preliminary card, Cody Gibson choked out Brian Kelleher in a bantamweight bout for the only stoppage win after Miranda Maverick, Trey Ogden, Luana Carolina and Thomas Petersen earned decision wins. Here is a look at the final results of UFC Fight Night: Lemos vs. Jandiroba.
