UFC Vegas 95 to be Headlined by Top 10 Heavyweight Contenders Clash

UFC returns to the UFC APEX in Las Vegas on August 10 with a heavyweight headliner as No. 8 ranked contender Marcin Tybura and No. 9 ranked Serghei Spivac look to settle the score in the main event of UFC Vegas 95 (also known as UFC on ESPN 61).

The winner of eight of his last 10 bouts, Tybura (25-8, fighting out of Uniejow, Poland) looks to improve on his 2020 victory over Spivac by securing a highlight-reel finish.

UFC Vegas 95 to be headlined by Tybura vs Spivac

Tybura has established himself as one of the best in the world with wins over Tai Tuivasa, Blagoy Ivanov and Alexander Romanov. He now intends to leave no doubt in the rematch and turn his attention towards the Top 5 of the division.

Always entertaining, Spivac (16-4, fighting out of Chisinau, Moldova) aims to exact revenge against Tybura in his third UFC main event in a row and in his second meeting against the Pole.

He has finished an impressive 14 of his 16 victories, including those over Derrick Lewis, Augusto Sakai and Tai Tuivasa. Spivac now seeks to make a statement in his first Octagon appearance of 2024.

Also on the UFC Vegas 95 card, Chris Gutierrez and Javid Basharat battle to break into the bantamweight Top 15. Gutierrez (20-5-2, fighting out of Englewood, Colo.) plans to break back into the UFC bantamweight rankings in emphatic fashion.

Owner of some of the best leg kicks in the division, Gutierrez has shown his skills in wins over Frankie Edgar, Alateng Heili and Vince Morales. He now is determined to secure another finish in style against Basharat.

Dana White's Contender Series signee Basharat (14-1 1NC, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nev.) has his sights set on returning to the winner's circle and building another long win streak.

A well-rounded competitor, he holds notable victories over Tony Gravely, Mateus Mendonca and Trevin Jones. Basharat now looks to become the first person to knock out Gutierrez and begin his run up the rankings.
