Ultimate Table Tennis 2024 collaborates with Viacom18, offering free streaming on JioCinema and broadcasts on Sports18. Featuring 8 teams, including new entrants, and 48 top paddlers, the season aims to enhance the sport's reach in India.

Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) has teamed up with Viacom18 to deliver top-tier table tennis action for the upcoming season, scheduled in Chennai from August 22 to September 7. UTT 2024 will be available for free streaming on JioCinema and broadcasted on the Sports18 Network.

The collaboration between UTT and Viacom18 marks its second year, following a successful partnership last season. The fifth season of this franchise-based league promises 17 days of thrilling matches, available in both English and Hindi, catering to table tennis fans and sports enthusiasts alike.

Expanding Reach with New Teams

This year, UTT will feature eight teams for the first time, including new additions Ahmedabad SG Pipers and Jaipur Patriots. The other six teams are PBG Bengaluru Smashers, Dabang Delhi TTC, U Mumba TT, Goa Challengers, Puneri Paltan Table Tennis, and Chennai Lions. Last season saw a combined viewership of over 33 million across JioCinema and the Sports18 Network.

Launched in 2017 by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani under the Table Tennis Federation of India, UTT has quickly become a prominent global sports property. The league has significantly contributed to the growth of Indian table tennis, aiding India's historic qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Showcasing Top Talent

A total of 48 premier paddlers will compete in UTT 2024. This includes top Indian players like Achanta Sharath Kamal, Manika Batra, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, and Sreeja Akula.

They will be joined by 16 global stars such as World No. 9 Bernadette Szocs, World No. 16 Nina Mittelham, and Nigeria's ace player Quadri Aruna.

Discussing the partnership, UTT co-promoters Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani stated, "Our partnership with Viacom18 highlights our mutual dedication to expanding table tennis in India.

"With their mandate for the Paris 2024, Viacom18 will showcase our top Indian paddlers as they compete on the biggest stage. The transition to UTT 2024 following the Olympics will be seamless.

"Viacom18's extensive reach and commitment to sports streaming and broadcasting will ensure that the excitement of UTT 2024 is felt in every corner of the country."

Viacom18's Diverse Sporting Portfolio

Viacom18's sporting portfolio is already diverse, featuring events like the Olympic Games Paris 2024, Diamond League, select BWF events, BCCI Cricket, TATA IPL, TATA WPL, SA20, Major League Cricket (MLC), and NBA among others. Adding UTT enhances their offering further.

Hursh Shrivastava from Viacom18 expressed enthusiasm about continuing their collaboration with UTT: "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Ultimate Table Tennis. The league has captivated the audience by putting high-quality competition and fine performances by Indian and international star paddlers on the centre stage," he said.

"We are particularly delighted to present the best Indian paddlers such as Sharath Kamal, Harmeet Desai, Manav Thakkar, Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula who will be returning from their Olympic rendezvous as they throw their hat in the ring for UTT 2024."
