Ultimate Table Tennis 2024: Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin Inaugurates 17 Days Of Thrilling Action in Chennai

The Ultimate Table Tennis 2024 (UTT) was officially inaugurated today by the Hon'ble Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu, Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.

The event marked the beginning of an exciting 17-day sporting spectacle that promises to captivate table tennis enthusiasts across the nation. In a grand ceremony, the Hon'ble Minister unveiled the prestigious UTT winners' trophy, showcasing it to a lively crowd and the media.

He was joined by UTT 2024 promoters Mrs. Vita Dani and Mr. Niraj Bajaj, along with India's table tennis icons, including Manika Batra, Sharath Kamal, and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion as they represented India's brightest hopes in the sport.

Speaking at the event, Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin expressed his enthusiasm for hosting such a high-profile tournament in Chennai. "Tamil Nadu has always been at the forefront of promoting sports, and we are proud to host the IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis 2024. This platform will not only provide our talented paddlers the opportunity to showcase their skills but also inspire young athletes across the state and country," he said.

The IndianOil UTT 2024 promises intense competition over the next 17 days, featuring India's top players as well as international stars. The tournament will run through a series of matches, culminating in the highly anticipated final scheduled for September 7.

Ultimate Table Tennis 2024 commenced on August 22 between Goa Challengers and Jaipur Patriots. There will be 20 matches till September 4. The two semi-final matches will occur on September 5 and 6, and the final will be held on September 7.
