Gulmarg, Mar 15 (UNI) Umer Bashir and Mohammad Yaseen clinched first positions in technique and slalom competitions at the end of the 15-day-long snow skiing coaching camp here on the world famous ski slopes.

The camp was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.

About 55 skiers from different parts of the state participated in the camp.

This was the fourth and last course camp organised by the department this winter.

With this all the snow ski courses of the department came to conclusion.

In this 87th basic course 33 players participated.

Players were examined in two categories -- technique and slalom.

In technique Umer Bashir bagged first position, Mohammad Yaseen got second and Nawaz Shareif bagged the third position.

In slalom, Mohammad Yaseen bagged first position. The second went to Zubair Ahmad Dar and Fayaz Ahmad Lone accupied the third position.

In intermediate 77th course of the department, eight participants took part in which Aaqib Rasheed finished first while Tahir Shafi bagged the second position.

In advance course the first position was shared by Mohammad Iqbal and Aijaz Ahmad while the second and third positions went to Owais Hafeez and Farooq Ahmad Ganie respectively.
