Canada finished third with a timing of 37.60 seconds to take the bronze medal.

Bolt has won an Olympic sweep of 100m, 200m and 4x100m for the third straight time.

The surprise element was that World Championship 2015 runner-up China was fourth.

The Jamaican legend who took the running track track for the penultimate time ended his career on a high with 9 Olympic medals maximum for a sprinter in history.

Giants men's race, United States of America who had some of the finest sprinters in their team were disqualified. The Justin Gatlin starring USA side were disqualified shortly after the race because of a faulty pass of the baton between the first and second runner.

This is not the first time that the US relay team has struggled with baton passing. They were disqualified from the Olympics in 2008 for the same reason.
