The 13th edition of the DGC Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship 2023, sponsored by USHA, commenced at the Delhi Golf Club with a ceremonial tee-off featuring Arjuna Awardees Ashok Malik, Ali Sher, and KK Bajoria, President of DGC.
The 3-day 54 Hole WAGR event, spanning November 21st-23rd and played on the Lodhi and Peacock Golf courses, boasts 104 lady golfers, with 25 participating in the main open championship.

In a groundbreaking move, this year's DGC Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship is now eligible for World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points. Administered by the R&A and USGA, WAGR ranks elite amateur players globally, covering over 10,000 players and 4,000 events.
The championship features renowned golfers like National Champions Gauri Monga and Shiraz Singh, alongside emerging talents like Amreen Sandhu and Bhavya Mann. Sakshi Kushwaha, a 14-year-old golfer noticed during the DGC Junior Golf Tournament, receives a direct entry and waived entry fee.

Usha, with a four-decade association with Delhi Golf Club, expressed excitement about the championship's inclusion in WAGR.
