US sports reporter to move the court over naked Internet video

By Super Admin

London, July 27 (ANI): American sports caster Erin Andrews is set to sue for millions after the grainy footage of her undressing in a hotel room was illegally posted on the web.

Andrews, 31, has also demanded that criminal charges be brought against the person who installed the spy hole camera in her room.

The illegally taped peephole video, showing Andrews as she disrobes, was posted on the Internet.

Lawyers for Andrews have complained to police and they are likely to launch an investigation into who was responsible for placing a hidden camera in her hotel room.

It is thought the film was shot in Omaha, Nebraska, last month when Andrews was filming for the sports network, which has recently taken over the Premiership rights from failed Irish broadcaster Setanta.

After the video was posted on line, under the title "Hot naked blonde" and ESPN threatened to sue anyone who posted the film, it became an Internet sensation.

Marshall Grossman, Andrews' lawyer, said she plans to seek criminal charges and file civil lawsuits against the unknown cameraman and anyone who publishes the material.

"While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent," the Telegraph quoted Grossman a saying.

"She was the victim of a crime and is taking action to protect herself and help ensure that others are not similarly violated in the future," he said.

As a reporter for ESPN, the leading sports channel in the US, Andrews often conducts sideline interviews with sports stars.

"Erin has been grievously wronged here," ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said.

"Our people and resources are in full support of her as she deals with this abhorrent act," he added. (ANI)
