Usyk vs Fury 2: "Thought I've Won Both Fights" - Tyson Fury Says Judges Got it Wrong Again

By MyKhel Staff

Tyson Fury was disappointed with the judges scoring in the heavyweight title rematch against Oleksanr Usyk at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday (December 21) night, claiming he should have won not only the rematch, but also the first bout in May.

Having dropped the Undisputed World Heavyweight title to the Ukranian earlier this year via split decision, Fury lost the rematch for the WBA (Super), WBO and WBC titles against Usyk via unanimous decision after the judges scored the contest 116-112 in favour of the defending champion.

Fury left the ring without doing an interview after the decision was announced and Usyk defended the titles, but his promoter Frank Warren, who spoke on his behalf, was in disbelief at the scoring.

"How can Tyson only get four rounds in this fight? It's impossible," Warren said, adding he thought Fury had won. "He's very disappointed, as I am as well. But, I mean, I'm not saying there's any bias (on my part). Everybody along the front there, we all thought the same way."

Usyk, meanwhile, said, "I win, it's good ... I'm not the judges, I'm a sportsman, I'm an athlete." While he didn't talk right after the bout, Fury was fuming at the decision in the post-fight press conference.

"I was quite confident. I thought I won that fight again... I thought I've won both fights. But then again, I've gone home with two losses on my record now, so there's not much I can do about it," Fury was quoted as saying in a press conference by Reuters.

"I can just fight my heart out and do the best I can, but again, I'll always believe until a day I die, I won that fight. It is what it is. I'm not going to cry over spilled milk, it's happened now.

"I know boxing, I've been in it all my life. You can't change no decisions, but I'll just always feel a little bit hard done-by. Not a little bit actually - a lot," Fury added.
