Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026: Finisher’s Medal Unveiled as Delhi Gears Up for October 18

New Delhi, September 16: The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026, a World Athletics Gold Label Race, unveiled its Finisher's Medal on Wednesday ahead of its 21st edition. Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta launched the medal at the Delhi Secretariat.

The race will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with thousands of runners from India and across the world expected to participate.

Speaking at the launch, Smt. Rekha Gupta, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Government of NCT of Delhi, said, "The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, with a focus on health, fitness, increased participation of women, and its wider socio-economic and charitable impact, has become an important initiative for the National Capital. The enthusiasm and joy of the participants is truly inspiring, and the Delhi Government stands with the event to make this edition even more successful."

The 2026 Finisher's Medal has been crafted using zinc sourced from Hindustan Zinc's Zawar Mines in Udaipur, one of the world's oldest zinc mining sites. Its design represents the determination and achievement of every runner who crosses the finish line.

Registrations closed within 100 hours, the fastest closure in event history. Other categories also received a strong response.
