Max Verstappen remains committed to Red Bull, despite McLaren's dominance at the Chinese Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri led a McLaren one-two finish, with Lando Norris following closely. This came just a week after Norris won in Australia. Verstappen finished fourth, trailing George Russell of Mercedes, after securing second place in Melbourne. McLaren appears to be the team to beat this season, threatening Verstappen's four-year championship streak.
Verstappen is unfazed by the competition and enjoys his time with Red Bull. After the Shanghai race, he stated: "I hear this all the time, but for me nothing changes. I'm actually very relaxed and very positive in my mind, I'm enjoying life. Every time I've driven in the car I'm just trying to do the best I can and I'm not thinking about anything else."

The Dutch driver emphasised his contentment both on and off the track. He said feeling good in life is what truly matters. Despite McLaren's strong start, Verstappen remains focused on performing his best without distractions.
The F1 season continues with the Japanese Grand Prix on April 6. Verstappen won this race last year and aims to close the gap on current leader Lando Norris. Currently, Verstappen is second in the 2025 standings, trailing Norris by eight points.
Despite being outpaced by McLaren early in the season, Verstappen's focus remains unwavering. His approach is centred around enjoying racing and maintaining a positive outlook regardless of external pressures or standings.
