Veterans Twenty20 tourney from Dec 15

Chennai, Dec 07 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Veterans' Cricket Association (TNVCA) affiliated to the Board for Veteran Cricket in India (BVCT) will conduct Twenty20 cricket tournament for corporates from December 15.

Addressing a press conference here last night, Association Vice-president and former Ranji player R Venkatesh said 18 teams would vie for honours in the tournament.

The teams would be divided into three zones of six teams each.

After the league phase, top two teams from each group would advance to the super league phase, which would have two groups of three teams each.

The top team from each group would qualify for the final.

The winning team will receive a trophy and the tournament would be held at the D B Jain college grounds at suburban Thoraipakkam.
