Baseball to make popular in India

New Delhi, Dec. 8, 2007 : U.S. ambassador to India, David Mulford, on December 8th, made a large donation of baseball equipment to a group of students, in New Delhi.

The idea behind the initiative was to popularize the American sport in India and help spread it on a larger basis in the country. In a country like India, where people literally eat, sleep and drink cricket, the effort by the American ambassador might help further the cause of baseball.
