Half Marathon sees huge participation

New Delhi, Oct. 28, 2007 : Giuvone Disi of Rewanda and Alembu Deriba of Ethopia won the Vodafone Half Marathon organised in New Delhi that saw participation of over 28,000 people including 7,000 professionals. Desi, who won $160,000 as a prize money in the Half Marathon in the Open Elite Male section set a new record completed the race in 1.00.43 seconds.

Ethopian Deriba grabbed the title in the female category finishing in 1.10.29 seconds.
