Vijender, Suranjoy, Dinesh in CW boxing C'ship

New Delhi, Mar 16: The Indians will have a reason to cheer for as three of the Indian boxers-Suranjoy Singh, Vijender Singh and Dinesh Kumar have boxed their way to the finals of the Commonwealth Boxing championship.

Vijender Singh, prove his worth as World no.1 boxer, as he landed power packed punches on his opponent Selemani Kidunda of Tanzania.

The Beijing Olympic bronze medalist sealed his place in the final of 75kg category with a powerful hook in the 2nd round which left Kidunda with a head injury.

The referee stopped the match and awarded the bout to Vijendra.

The Asian Champion, Suranjoy Singh showed equal dominance in his match against Andrew Selby of Wales.

He defeated Selby 4-0 to win the Fly category match 4-0. The Manipuri will face Oliver Lavigi of Mauritius in the final match on Wednesday, Mar 17.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Kumar made his entry in the final of 81 kg category with a powerful upper cut to defeat his opponent Leonard Machichi of Tanzania.
