'Vijay Amritraj Sportsmanship Award' for Moya

Chennai, Jan 6 (UNI) Spaniard Carlos Moya received the 'Vijay Amritraj Sportsmanship Award' just after his match against the World Number 2 and Compatriot Rafael Nadal here in the Chennai Open ATP 2008 Tennis Tournament.

TMTA President Narayanan and Tournament Director Fernando Soler presented the award to Moya yesterday at the Centre Court of the SDAT Tennis Stadium at Nungambakkam It was high voltage tennis action with Moya and Nadal matching each other serve for serve in a marathon match lasting nearly four hours with Nadal winning 6-7(3), 7-6(8), 7-6(1) to enter the finals.
