Vijender Singh tells Indians not to ask 'stupid questions' on Rio Olympics performance

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 17: Ace Indian boxer Vijender Singh took a dig at the Indian masses for criticising Indian athletes who are participating at the Rio Olympics 2016.

The Indian contingent at Rio is yet to win a medal at this year's Olympic Games even after 12 days of the competition.

This performance of the Indians drew several criticism from various parts of the country. Famous Indian novelist and social worker Shobhaa De most recently had criticised the Indians for the failed attempts at Olympics and used some really harsh words.

Finally former Indian Olympian Vijender who became a professional this year has taken to social media to slam the Indians for their impatience and strong criticisms against the athletes.

In his tweet he uploaded an image which had some very important points to look into. He asked why nobody questions the actors, authors, musicians, etc who fail to win the highest honours in their respective fields.

The points raised were:

1. How many actors have won Oscar awards?
2. How many authors/scientists/doctors/economists have Nobel awards?
3. How many singer/musicians have won Grammy Awards?
4. How many Indians have become Secretary General of United Nations?

Vijender Singh represented Indian at the Beijing Olympics 2008 and London Olympics 2012. He won bronze medal at Beijing.
