Viva, Kerala moves to final round

Kochi, Mar 17 (UNI) Underdogs Lajong Sports Club held Viva to a 1-1 draw in the ONGC 2nd Division National Football League match here today.

However, despite the draw, Viva qualified for the final round, to be held at Kozhikode, with eight points from four mathces.

Viva will meet Salgoacar in their last league encounter in the Kochi leg.

Earlier, Salgoacar also find their place in the final round.

After a barren first half Baba Thunde netted the opener in the 72nd minute for the hostes team.

However, the joy did not last long as Mauna came up with a beautiful goal in tbe 85th minute to help Lajong bringing the score level, 1-1.

The third team from the Kochi leg would be decided from the match between Army XI and Indian Bank.
