The Golden State Warriors secured a crucial victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, with Steve Kerr expressing satisfaction about their current position. The team, after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers, had to face the Grizzlies in a play-in game. They emerged victorious with a 121-116 win on Tuesday, thanks to standout performances from Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry.
Butler's arrival before the trade deadline has revitalised the Warriors, who are now set for a first-round series against the Houston Rockets. Despite not having a stellar season, the team has found its rhythm. "It took 83 games but we're right where we want to be, which is back in the playoffs, and we've got a chance," Kerr stated.

Jimmy Butler showcased his prowess by scoring 38 points, while Stephen Curry added 37. Butler's performance was particularly impressive as he scored 21 points in the first half alone, equalling his highest first-half points total during the regular season.
Curry's late-game heroics were pivotal as he hit a baseline three-pointer with just under two minutes left and followed it up with another crucial shot shortly after. Kerr praised his players' fearlessness and resilience under pressure.
When asked about his star players' clutch performances, Kerr highlighted their fearlessness and self-belief. "I told Steph after the game, what makes him who he is, even on a night when he's not really going, he's struggling to make shots, but he makes the two biggest shots of the game," Kerr said.
He emphasised that such performances stem from more than just skill; they come from fortitude and incredible self-belief. "Jimmy possesses the same thing. Draymond [Green] too, in a different way," Kerr added.
This victory ended a streak of three consecutive losses in play-in games for Golden State. The team's determination and winning mentality have been key factors in their recent success.
