Cleveland, February 8: With all the drama surrounding the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James made it his mission not to lose against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
James hit a game-tying three-pointer in the fourth quarter to force overtime at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday (February 7), then scored the final six Cavaliers points of the game, including a game-winning jumper with no time remaining on the clock.
It gave the Cavs a stunning 140-138 victory over the Timberwolves, after Cleveland had lost three of their past four games.
The three-time NBA champion and four-time MVP finished with 37 points on 16-of-22 shooting with 15 assists and 10 rebounds for his ninth triple-double of the season and the 64th of his career.
Before hitting the game-winner, James blocked Jimmy Butler's five-foot driving floater with 1.3 seconds remaining, allowing the Cavs to call timeout with one second remaining to set up the buzzer-beater.
