Water Ski World Cup at Chandigarh in September

Chandigarh, Jun 21 (UNI) Wakeboard and Water Skiing Federation of India (WWSFI) in collaboration with International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) will hold Water Ski World Cup in the city in September.

IWSF President Kuno Ritschard today called upon WWSFI President and former Punjab Sports and Tourism Minister Jagmohan Singh Kang to discuss and chalk out the details of this international event which is likely to be held at Sukhna Lake. As many as 70 countries would participate in the event.

IWSF is the world governing body for all towed water sports and is responsible for the international promotion and development of Water Ski and Wakeboard.

Mr Ritschard said that more such tournaments will be held this year at Tuna (Russia) in July, Alexandria (Egypt) in August, Singapore in October, Malaysia and Doha Qatar in November and Dubai in December.

Mr Kang averred with teams from host of countries participating and lot of visitors to witness this world class event, tourism in this region would also get a fillip.
