Wayne Rooney's surprise for wife on Valentine's Day

London, Feb 18 (ANI): Brit footballer Wayne Rooney gave a sweet surprise to wife Coleen Rooney on Valentine's Day, as he booked a 120-pound room at the Merseyside resort in the Southport.

The resort was just 20 miles away from where he and Coleen grew up.

The couple celebrated their first Valentine's Day since their marriage in their room, after enjoying a quite drink just by themselves.

"He promised her an unforgettable night and she won't forget this one. Coleen said it was very romantic - just the two of them spending time together," the Sun quoted Wayne's pal as saying.

A hotel spokesman added: "They enjoyed a quiet drink in our bar."

While Wayne and wife celebrated a calm and quite Valentine's Day, his teammate Steven Gerrard enjoyed the day with wife Alex at a luxury hotel in Dubai. (ANI)
