Italy Serie A giants AC Milan for sale?
Milan, Oct 19: AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has squashed rumours that the club will be sold to foreign investors and has thrown his support to under-fire manager Massimiliano Allegri.

Galliani has denied reports that wealthy Russian and Qatari investors have made bids to buy the Serie A giants and said current owner Silvio Berlusconi is the right man for the club.

However, Milan's organising director Umberto Gandini has admitted that there could be a possibility of investment from a third party.

"It's possible that a portion of its shares could be available to foreign investors in an attempt to boost income, but we are not completely sure of the benefits that we could obtain with the Financial Fair Play rules," Gandini was quoted as saying in Goal.com

Meanwhile, despite denying takeover rumours, CEO Galliani feels foreign investors can have a positive impact for Serie A clubs.

"Foreign investors can be a good thing for Italian football but they are not coming to Milan," Galliani told Sky Sport 24.

"We want to keep president Berlusconi, who took us to the top of the world," he said.

However, the Serie A giants are currently struggling at 11th place having won just 2 games in seven this season. The poor form has threatened manager Allegri's job at the San Siro.

But Galliani supports Allegri and said the club are not planning to replace him despite rumours that former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola will take over.

"We are sure to come back with our current coach," Galliani said. "We have enjoyed great success under Allegri since his arrival in 2010. We have never thought about replacing him."
