Weightlifting sex scandal: Coach rejects charges

New Delhi, Jul 25: Ramesh Malhotra, suspended SAI coach, had rejected all the sexual harassment allegations made by Karnam Malleswari, the Sydney Olympic bronze medalist.

According to CNN-IBN, Malhotra did not want to give any clarifications on the sex scandal issue.

He said to the channel that the truth could be found out from the girls of the weightlifting team.

Malleswari, on Jul 24, had accused sexual harassment by Malhotra on junior lifters.

Malleswari had charged that Malhotra had been doing so for more than a decade.

Indian Weightlifting Federation, however, had suspended Ramesh Malhotra.

While speaking to the channel, Malhotra said that if he was found guilty then he would be ready to face the consequences.

He also said that if he was proved innocent then he wanted all those who have conspired against him to be punished.
