Wembanyama Leads Spurs In Rout To Force Game 7
Victor Wembanyama powered the San Antonio Spurs to a 118-91 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, forcing Game 7 of the Western Conference finals. Wembanyama finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in a dominant response on Thursday night.
Game 7 is scheduled for Saturday night in Oklahoma City. The winner will host the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, opening the NBA Finals. Defending champion Oklahoma City now faces a decisive home test after losing control of the series momentum.

The Spurs answered their flat 127-114 defeat in Game 5 on Tuesday night with their most intense performance of this back-and-forth matchup. Wembanyama again shaped the result, leading all three San Antonio victories in a series where no game has stayed close late.
Dylan Harper supported the Spurs’ offence with 18 points, while Stephon Castle contributed 17. Devin Vassell added 12 points and produced two powerful blocks. During the third quarter, San Antonio delivered a 22-0 surge, turning a tight contest into a 92-64 lead with 56 seconds remaining.
The Thunder’s attack struggled badly. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander managed a team-high 15 points but shot just 6-for-18. Oklahoma City went scoreless for eight minutes in the third quarter. The average victory margin in the series is 15.3 points, with San Antonio’s wins averaging 18.3 points.
Wembanyama joined David Robinson and Tim Duncan as the only Spurs players with five playoff games of at least 25 points and 10 rebounds in a single postseason. Oklahoma City’s Jalen Williams returned after a hamstring setback in Game 2, but finished with one point on 0-for-1 shooting in 10 minutes.
The series now swings back to Oklahoma City with pressure on the defending champions and confidence with San Antonio. With Wembanyama matching franchise legends statistically and the Thunder’s offence under scrutiny, Game 7 will decide who advances to face the Knicks and holds home court for the NBA Finals opener.
