Colombo, Jan 16 (AP) West Indies cricket team will visitSri Lanka later this month for three one-day internationalmatches to make up for a washed out five-match series lastyear, cricket authorities said today.
Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement that the newlybuilt Suriyawewa stadium in the southern Hambantota districtwill host the first match on January 31.
Other two matches will be played at R.Premadasa Stadium,Colombo on February 4 and 6.
The matches will give valuable practice for both sideswith the cricket World Cup scheduled to start February 19,co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Both teams drew a three-match test series last year amidbad weather and the limited-overs series was postponed. (AP)
