Born Into Legacy, Making Her Own Mark

Simone was born on August 14, 2001, in Davie, Florida. Growing up as the daughter of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dany Garcia, a powerhouse businesswoman and IFBB professional bodybuilder, she was no stranger to greatness. The couple's split in 2007 didn’t stop Simone from getting the best of both worlds.

She inherited her father’s charisma and her mother’s strength. And, as fate would have it, her grandmother became the catalyst for Simone's wrestling aspirations, making sure she was introduced to the sport at an early age.

Simone’s journey took an unexpected turn in 2019 when an injury derailed her college plans at NYU. Rather than wallowing in misfortune, Simone stayed in Orlando, Florida, to chase her dreams of becoming a WWE superstar.

By February 2020, she signed with the WWE, officially starting her training at the WWE Performance Center, making history as the first-ever fourth-generation wrestler in the company.

Simone made her WWE debut on the October 25, 2022, episode of NXT. Under the ring name Ava Raine, she aligned herself with Joe Gacy’s villainous faction, Schism. Ava transitioned into a backstage role as the assistant to WWE legend Shawn Michaels, Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative. However, Ava wasn’t content with staying in the background.

On January 23, 2024, she made history once again by becoming the General Manager of NXT. At just 22 years old, she became the youngest-ever GM in WWE’s history.

A mere three days after her promotion, Ava made her SmackDown debut, assisting General Manager Nick Aldis with the Royal Rumble entry draw. But she wasn’t done just yet. On April 6, 2024, at NXT Stand & Deliver, Ava made a groundbreaking announcement that would change the women’s division forever.

Introducing the NXT Women's North American Championship, she created the first-ever secondary women's title in WWE, setting the stage for future generations of female wrestlers to compete on equal footing with their male counterparts.
