‘Will Not Be Surprised If I Finish Him Early’: Regian Eersel Warns George Jarvis Ahead of ONE Championship Title Fight

New Delhi, Sep 30: ONE Lightweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel is ready to settle the score once and for all. The Suriname-born superstar defends his Muay Thai crown against George Jarvis in a highly anticipated rematch headlining The Inner Circle 33 on Friday, October 2.

Eersel's most recent Muay Thai title defense came against Jarvis himself back in August 2025, a contest that saw Eersel dispatch the then-surging Englishman in under 90 seconds. Now, the two run it back with the champion looking to secure a second decisive victory over his familiar rival.

Ahead of the rematch, "The Immortal" admitted he has not noticed significant growth in Jarvis's recent performances, leaving him genuinely curious about what adjustments his opponent might bring into their second encounter.

"I'm feeling good. Preparation was good. To tell you honestly, I didn't seem to notice any difference in his last two fights. So, I'm kind of curious what he's coming with, what he's bringing on fight day," Eersel said.

Standing 6-foot tall, the 26-year-old challenger holds a striking record of 28-5 and a ONE mark of 6-2. Since suffering that title loss to Eersel, Jarvis has rebounded with victories over former title challengers Sinsamut Klinmee and Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong, notably knocking out Rungrawee on two separate occasions.

Despite Jarvis's recent momentum, Eersel made clear he is fully prepared to go the distance if necessary, though he would not be surprised if the fight ends before the final bell.

"As I said before, in my mind, I have to fight five rounds, so it will be a five-round war. But I will not be surprised if I finish him earlier," he said.

Eersel also reflected on his own kickboxing title defense against Rungrawee, a unanimous decision victory that came under different circumstances than his usual finishes. He offered insight into the mental game that comes with facing smaller gloves.

"Everybody knows when you fight in small gloves, if you get one punch, it feels way different and it's way harder than having a punch with 10-ounce gloves. So let him think that he can beat me. It's only good for him to gain his self-confidence," Eersel said.
