Arike Ogunbowale powered the Dallas Wings to a fourth straight win, finishing with 30 points against the Sparks. Ogunbowale made six shots from beyond the arc and also collected six rebounds and six assists. Dallas moved to 7-3 overall and 2-0 in Commissioners Cup play, keeping pace with the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Lynx.

Jessica Shepard delivered a career-best display for Dallas, adding 22 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. Paige Bueckers scored 18 points and matched Ogunbowale’s franchise record of 14 assists, giving Dallas three key offensive options. The result left the Wings sharing top spot in the Western Conference Commissioners Cup standings with the Minnesota Lynx, who sit at 8-2 overall and 2-0 in Cup games.
The Commissioners Cup is the league’s in-season competition, running a 49-game schedule from 1-17 June. Teams collect Cup records within their conferences, and the top side from each conference qualifies for the final on 30 June. Dallas and Minnesota currently lead the West, while several Eastern Conference teams battle to secure the other championship place.
Los Angeles dropped to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in the Commissioners Cup after a third straight defeat. The Sparks welcomed Kelsey Plum back from a three-game absence caused by an ankle injury. Plum scored 27 points, but the effort was not enough to stop Dallas pulling away late and maintaining a perfect Cup record.

Expansion side Portland fell to 6-6 and 0-2 in the Cup.
