Winning World Cup my sole aim : Jhulan

Kolkata, Jan 23 (UNI) Indian eves cricket fast bowler Jhulan Goswami today said winning the World Cup in 2009 was her sole aim.

The Bengal pacer, awarded the ICC women's cricketer of the year in 2007, said, '' In the last World Cup we came second best to Australia. We want to change it this time. '' '' We will surely like to lift the 2009 women's World Cup, '' she added.

Asked about her personal milestone that she had in mind, she said, '' I want to continue bowling well for India and reach my 100 scalps in the ODI soon. '' The fiery pacer was felicitated by the state government with a diamond necklace and Rs two lakh for her contribution to women's cricket and the rare glory she had brought for India on the occasion of the second West Bengal state games here today.

The necklace and the cash were handed over to her by former Olympian Chuni Goswami.

West Bengal Sports Minister Subhas Chakravarty, Central Minister Subodh Kanti Sahay and a host of other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
