WNBA: Kelsey Mitchell Scores 32 Points As Fever Defeats Wings Without Caitlin Clark

In a thrilling match, Kelsey Mitchell scored 32 points to lead the Indiana Fever to a 94-86 victory over the Dallas Wings. Despite Caitlin Clark's absence due to a left groin injury, the Fever took an early 22-point lead in the first quarter. The game marked the Wings' debut at the home of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks.

The Wings, who plan to relocate to downtown Dallas soon, have been playing at the University of Texas at Arlington for nine years. Paige Bueckers, picked first overall this year, led a comeback with a buzzer-beating three-pointer and finished with 27 points. However, Dallas struggled with just 26% shooting in the opening quarter.

Meanwhile, Satou Sabally scored 25 points as Phoenix Mercury set a new WNBA record by hitting 35 three-pointers over two games. In their latest win against New York Liberty, they made 18 of those threes in a 106-91 victory. Alyssa Thomas contributed significantly with 17 points and equalled Phoenix's assist record.
