Timberwolves Capitalise On Curry's Absence To Defeat Warriors And Tie NBA Playoff Series

The Minnesota Timberwolves secured a 117-93 win over the Golden State Warriors, levelling their playoff series at one game each. Julius Randle led the charge with 24 points and 11 assists. The Warriors felt the absence of Stephen Curry, who missed the game due to a left hamstring strain. This injury is expected to keep him sidelined until at least next week.

Anthony Edwards contributed 20 points for the Timberwolves, overcoming an earlier injury scare. The team significantly improved their three-point shooting, making 16 out of 37 attempts compared to their previous game. Jonathan Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis were notable for the Warriors, scoring 18 and 15 points respectively, with a combined shooting accuracy of 14 for 17.

The Warriors struggled offensively without Curry's presence. Coach Steve Kerr tried various strategies, using 14 players throughout the game. Despite these efforts, the team couldn't find much success against the Timberwolves' strong defence. Buddy Hield and Brandin Podziemski were kept quiet by Minnesota's defensive efforts.
